AOR is known throughout the world for outstanding broadband receivers. The well-
known AR-5000 has been optimised for professional use in close cooperation with
bogerfunk and extended in frequency up to 3 GHz. bogerfunk will be offering the
AR-5000 in two different versions. The AR-5000A for hobby applications and the
AR-5000plus® with the expansion options that are absolutely essential for profes-
sional radio monitoring. The AR-5000A will be sold exclusively via our online shop.

Radio surveillance/Professional use
plus stands for innovation, competent advice, incorporation of additional modules,
better large signal response, representation in Germany and Switzerland and CE
certification. The AR-5000plus® can be obtained directly from your bogerfunk dealer
or one of our sales partners.

Analysis/Classification/Decoding
The AR-5000plus® provides the possibility of detecting and defining signals. This
enables a large number of applications to be realised, which are summarised under
the headings of "classification" and "decoding". bogerfunk uses the 30 kHz band-
width of the AR-5000plus® combined with an internal bogerfunk option to bring the
received signal in its original state (without demodulation) to a sound card or AD
converter. The same applies for LF recording. The transfer of the received signals
to LAN, WLAN etc. thus enables ONLINE/ OFFLINE analysis, digital recording etc. to
be carried out. Both data transfer and remote control of the complete system are
possible via WLAN. Large distances are overcome by means of amplifiers and
converters. Such systems have already been successfully implemented. These
peripherals are also available from bogerfunk.

Consultation/System integration
bogerfunk engineers radio surveillance systems from the aerial to the workplace.
Aerials and aerial systems, signal distribution etc. in the frequency range from 10
kHz to 20 GHz or higher.

The whole world is talking about digital radio, as is bogerfunk; bandwidths greater
than 30 kHz are planned for the future. The simultaneous operation of the AR-
5000plus®
in the AM and FM modes (optional, duo-mode) for secondary modulation
applications has already been implemented. By incorporating the 455 kHz and 10.7
MHz IF-outputs, bogerfunk has made it possible to connect various additional
devices. The 10.7 MHz IF-output can be switched wide or narrow as standard. As
an option, bogerfunk offers simultaneous wide/narrow operation; the user decides.

Innovation
With professional radio monitoring, several receivers are used in one system; the
prerequisite for trouble-free operation is that the radiation from the aerial socket should be as low as possible. By fitting an additional module, an attenuation of
>40dB is achieved with the AR-5000plus®. A typical system example: two
AR 5000plus®
in one screened housing, all connections filtered. The 19", 3 HE housing is compact and can be airfreighted; if required, the housing can also be supplied in a swing frame. The unit is controlled manually or by remote control; in the case of manual control the screened windows are opened.

Integration
With integration, (almost) everything is possible; the customer's requirements arising
from the application are taken into account. The input from the user is implemented
by us as quickly as possible. As a user, take advantage of bogerfunk's competence
and flexibility.

Precision
The AR-5000plus® works with an NCO (Numeric Controlled Oscillator) with a reso-
lution of 1 Hz. A temperature controlled TCXO (reference oscillator) is provided for
stabilising the oscillator frequency. In all, five different VFOs are used in the
AR 5000plus®
. The triple superhet uses 622.4 MHz, 10.7 MHz and 455 kHz as
intermediate frequencies. The scan/search speed is max. 50 steps/sec.
